Young Indigenous leaders face exclusion due to their age, Indigenous identity, rural backgrounds and gender. It is crucial that peace-building processes in Indigenous communities begin by recognizing the role of young people as agents of social change. From this recognition, along with respect for their worldview, social cohesion and the defense of human rights can be strengthened. This session, focused on understanding the perspectives of Indigenous youth, will explore how to achieve empowerment and social change.
Note: A buffet lunch will be provided to the first 40 participants attending this session. Additional seating is available without food.
