Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at the Central America Donors Forum (CADF) are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Seattle International Foundation (SIF) will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe and productive environment for everybody.

Summary

SIF is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone at CADF, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of conference visitors in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including the online platforms used for the event, on social media or any other online outlets. Solicitation of any kind during the event is prohibited. Conference participants violating these rules may be expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of Seattle International Foundation.

Non-Solicitation Policy

SIF maintains a non-solicitation policy covering CADF. SIF strives to provide participants with learning and networking opportunities in a distraction-free environment, free from the dynamics of solicitation from grantseekers. SIF enforces a strict no-solicitation policy:

  • Solicitation of any kind during the event, including, but not limited to, asking for business, soliciting fund management services, distributing grant proposals, or requesting grant funding is prohibited at CADF.
  • For organizations that both raise funds and make grants, your participation at CADF is as a grantmaker only.
  • Contact information on the CADF participant list is for networking purposes only. Please refrain from using the participant list or similar information for solicitation purposes without the express permission of SIF.
  • SIF reserves the right to restrict the participation of individuals whose behavior contravenes our no solicitation policy. Any person and/or organization found to be violating this policy may be expelled from the event without refund of registration fees.

Anti-Harassment Policy

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, and unwelcome sexual attention.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a SIF staff member immediately. If you prefer to submit an anonymous complaint, please click here to send a message via Google Forms.

Your participation at the Central America Donors Forum is valued.
