In Central America, inequalities in opportunities, resources, and care, along with racism, patriarchal violence, and the climate crisis, do not operate separately: they intertwine and reinforce one another. In the face of this convergence of inequalities, women have woven concrete and transformative responses. They organize collective care, defend their territories and natural resources, build support networks for migrants, and drive cooperatives and solidarity economies.

This session presents organizational experiences from Central America that show that economic justice cannot be reduced to including women within an unequal system: it demands redistributing power, time, work, and resources from a feminist, territorial, and community-based perspective.
