About the Central America Donors Forum

The Central America Donors Forum, an initiative of Seattle International Foundation (SIF), is the key networking and learning space to advance philanthropy and development efforts in Central America. The 2017 invitation only meeting held in Panama City, Panama, will bring together over 200 leaders from business, philanthropy, government, and civil society to discuss priority issues and successful models of development, and explore co-investment for social impact. Past Donors Forum co-hosts include CentraRSE, Ford Foundation, Gates Foundation, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Microsoft, and the Swedish Embassy in Guatemala.

Seattle International Foundation (SIF) supports worldwide poverty alleviation efforts through grant-making and other activities, with a strategic focus on Central America. SIF was founded in 2008 as a supporting organization to Seattle Foundation for the purpose of increasing and enhancing international philanthropy and development from the Pacific Northwest. Since 2008, SIF has granted more than $20 million to 219 high impact organizations in 71 countries, including $12 million in grants to Central America.

 

Sumarse

Sumarse is a non-profit organization that promotes Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Panama. Sumarse’s membership is comprised of more than 250 companies, NGOs, chambers of commerce, civil society associations, and universities, which makes the organization the largest multi-stakeholder platform for the creation of public-private partnerships for development in Panama. Sumarse is the official Panama representative of the UN Global Compact, the Central America Corporate Social Responsibility Network (Red Integrarse) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
